Safety is more than a priority, it is a core part of how we operate every day across our organization. This Safety Month, we are proud to highlight a major achievement that reflects that commitment: all three of our service centers, Baker, LA, Auburn, MA, and Houston, TX, are OSHA SHARP certified, consistently maintaining and renewing this elite safety standard year after year.
What OSHA SHARP Certification Means
The Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) is one of OSHA’s highest recognitions for small and mid-sized businesses. SHARP certification is awarded to companies that:
- Operate exemplary safety and health management systems
- Maintain injury and illness rates below industry averages
- Demonstrate strong employee involvement in safety programs
- Commit to continuous improvement and hazard prevention
Earning SHARP status is not a one-time milestone, it requires ongoing audits, program validation, and a company-wide culture centered on safety.
Maintaining SHARP status across all three of our locations over multiple years speaks to the accountability, commitment and values we share. And while each of our locations operate independently, they share the same expectation; every employee goes home safe, every day.

How Safety Benefits Our Customers
Our commitment to safety extends beyond our facilities as it directly impacts the customers we serve. A strong safety culture helps ensure:
- Operational reliability – Safe processes reduce disruptions, helping keep orders on track and lead times consistent
- Quality and precision – Controlled, well-managed environments support accuracy and consistency in production and processing
- Accountability and trust – Customers can rely on a partner that operates with discipline, structure, and documented best practices
- Long-term partnership stability – A safe workplace helps retain experienced employees and maintain continuity in service
In essence, the same systems that protect our people also support the performance and dependability our customers expect.
Safety as a Culture, Not a Program
SHARP certification reflects something deeper than compliance. It represents a company culture where safety is part of every conversation, employees are empowered to identify and address risks, processes are continually reviewed and improved, and leadership reinforces accountability at every level.
Maintaining SHARP certification over time is a direct result of this culture in action, not a one-time effort.
Looking Ahead
While we are proud of this recognition, our focus at Corrosion Materials remains on continuous improvement. Sustaining SHARP certification requires ongoing commitment, and our teams across Baker, Auburn, and Houston continue to raise the bar.
As we recognize Safety Month, we also recognize the people behind these efforts and those who make safety a daily priority and help us deliver consistent, reliable results for our customers.
